Optimization of business processes through tailor-made software solutions

With many years of experience in the development and optimization of software solutions, he specialized in the customized design of applications that are tailored to the individual needs of companies. His goal is to significantly increase the efficiency of business processes through user-centered software - without overburdening users with unnecessarily complex systems.

In his career, starting at Weidmüller as a production engineer, he recognized early on how much potential there is in IT to improve workflows. Back then, I optimized production processes with the Filemaker Pro software, first with Apple Macs and later with Windows, which led to a considerable increase in efficiency. I quickly took over the development of cross-company applications, which were used in various areas such as quality assurance, production, controlling, logistics and occupational safety.

Over time, the number of applications, he developed, grew and were used not only locally but also internationally. He designed user-friendly front-ends and integrated complex systems that communicated with each other via SQL databases and web applications. One of his particular strengths is the ability to analyze complex processes, translate them into simple, functional software solutions and design the entire workflow efficiently - from the backend to reporting and visualization of management data in Microsoft Power BI.

In addition to the development and optimization of software solutions, he was also involved in the training of employees and the continuous maintenance of applications. These applications, many of which have been in operation for over 23 years, were used by more than 600 users worldwide and were constantly maintained and adapted to new requirements by him. This included not only programming and maintenance, but also the integration of technologies such as JSON, barcodes, scanners and optical inspection systems.

Reporting was also part of his scope of duties. Particularly challenging was the analysis and visualization of defect management data, scrap KPIs and quality-related costs, which was realized with the help of Excel and later Microsoft Power BI. He developed customized reports that not only presented the data in a structured way, but also enabled direct access to relevant information across different systems.

He always strive to create software solutions that serve people rather than adapting them to technical requirements. Through strategically oriented, flexible approaches and the consideration of individual company needs, he ensures an optimal cost-benefit ratio and sustainable success.
