SAP: Convert and prepare goods receipt data

A process created automatically every day via an SAP cron job generated files for each SAP plant, each with the day's date. Only the files outlined in red were relevant for further processing. Figure 2 shows the structure of such a SAP file.

The data from all plants was read in, converted and archived for the presentation of a time history in order to always be able to display a comparable time slice in the plant reports. This was achieved by converting and storing the data accordingly, as shown in Figure 3. After restructuring, the data was arranged in a clear table, which could then be used as a data source in a report containing various pivot tables and diagrams.

Figure 4 shows a section of the report at that time, which was based on this converted data and enabled effective analysis and visualization.
